Neurotic

Neurotic. If I had to use one word to describe myself, neurotic would be it. Since it was announced that Collabor88 would add a blogger to its blogger list, which was around the end of September, I have completed photos then dumped them. Completed then dumped. Completed then dumped. My laptop, of course, is not functional. My fiance let me use his laptop (which is actually an old laptop of mine). But the recommended graphic settings for that one were set at "medium," which was indicative of its crappy performance, for photos and otherwise.

Finally, I said, "You know what? You are NEVER going to get this done." I think anyone who creates anything is super critical of his or her own product, but it was getting to be a bit ridiculous. So. Here it is. I will also show you all the other ones I created for the contest.

Same outfit but I'm standing in the Stockholm Attic from Barnesworth Anubis, offered at the July 2012 round of Collabor88! I wanted the space to suggest more apparently that it was living space, so I added LISP suitcases and some effects from Thistle Homes' Love Letters Desk.

In these two photos, I'm still in the Stockholm Attic. And also in both, I'm wearing the Soft hairstyle from [elikatira] (from November 2011 C88) and the Sailor Shorts from -tres blah- (from February 2012 C88). In the first one, I have on The Sea Hole's Davenport Blouse (from October 2012 C88) and the Hampton Necklace from LaGyo (from July 2012 C88). Then, in the second one, I have on a blazer from House of Fox, socks from Kyoot, and I'm carrying Auxiliary's Tiny Tote (all from  September 2012 C88). Finally, I'm wearing a necklace from Maxi Gossamer (from August 2012 C88).

Obviously, I was BENT on staying in my dear Stockholm Attic. But once my fiance bought and installed a graphics card upgrade, I was really enjoying seeing shadows for the first time. It's amazing how much pop that little "lighting and shadows" option grants to a photo!

I also have two other photos, but I didn't edit one of them, and I mistakenly deleted the other from Blogger, so I would need to get back on fiance's computer to get it. I suppose they don't matter anyway; I'm only submitting the very first picture in this blog entry. I was just meaning to show you how indecisive and crazy I am. :P

UGH! Excuse me for all the jagged lines. I hate those jagged lines. For some reason, even with the appropriate settings in graphics, they are quite obvious. Then again, I'm on a really old computer because mine refuses to keep an internet connection for longer than 30 minutes. I'm supposed to be calling the manager of a certain store in less than 30 minutes to ask for a new computer to replace mine. A computer than is less than seven months old shouldn't have the problems that it has, and experience them at this frequency.

 

In any case, I hope you'll still be able to see - even with jagged edges - all the things you have to get!

Matchbook [Monday] kills me. You know it. Her Fallen set (earrings and necklace) is what she's offering at the L'Accesoires event that changes on the 15th of each month. I believe this is her first time participating at the event. But I certainly hope it won't be her last. You can change the texture of both the chain and the necklace, and the changes you select happen simultaneously to both. Here's a closer look at the set, which is available in at least eight colors (midnight shown here):

Her watch is a new release, and DAMN is it awesome. Here's a closer look:

 

I'm so excited about the versatility of this watch. First, I have very few good watches in the ol' inventory. I just usually don't wear them. (DOWN WITH PRACTICALITY!). However, I count this among the few that I have and really, really like.

You'd think you could only change the textures of two or three elements of the watch, but no! You can change the textures of 1) the cord, 2) the metal, 3) the wood, 4) the face and 5) YES, the hands! I think it's pretty damned cool that you can change the color of the tiny little hands, but when I expressed this to Matchbook, the foolish girl that she is, she replied that it's not that big of a deal. She's an extremely meticulous worker, and I loooooooove it. As you can see in the picture, I also changed the color around the face of the watch, which you can control under "Flavor." Now, you also have the option to turn hovertext on and off AND the same option for daylight savings time. You'd access that menu by clicking the face of the watch, and you'd access the usuals (resize, texture, flavor, control, etc.) by click on anything other than the face. The texture of the wood that you see in the above pictures is "Animal," and it's my favorite!

That's about it for now. I'm SO excited about composing a Halloween look. Is there any holiday more fun than Halloween? What's that? "No," you say? AGREED! :D

I'm excited! A new brand and new stuffs (from a familiar store) makes me so!

I was on the quest for new makeup, lipstick specifically. I LOVE my Shakeup! lipsticks. They match well with every single skin I have in my favorites folder (All 33 of 'em - although some of those skins include lipsticks already). However, I wanted to try something different! Plus, all of us bloggers aim to bring notice to new brands, not only for that brand but for blog readers and/or fashionistas. 

Thus, I started looking for lipsticks on the Marketplace and I came upon Soiree! It's just a baby - less than one month old - but one can easily tell that Soiree will blow up! The lipstick that I am wearing, La Creme, comes in 30 colors. Each color comes in teeth / no teeth options for 80L; you can see the teeth/no teeth options above. And you can buy the fatpack of 60 lipsticks for 800L. There's also a wonderful "tool" (it's actually a tattoo layer) that does WONDERS for your facial bone structure (that's why I call it a tool) and an upcoming line of SOMETHING which I will not reveal (:P).  How frickin' awesome is this NEW getup from Indyra Originals!?! And you have several countries from which to choose: Australia, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Russia, South Korea aaaand USA!

It comes with the top (in the standard mesh sizes), shorts (not mesh) and socks (not mesh and in four versions, with black, red, blue and white stripes). You also get, of course, a requisite alpha layer. Then, you get an optional lower alpha and, my favorite, a texture-change hairband. The hairband didn't go that well with the Elvira hairstyle, buuuuttt for you...

 UGH! So cute!

I'm wearing this long hair from lamb called Blush (in Snickers) so that you can properly see the headband. Touch the bow and you get, not only a resizer menu, but also a choice of seven different colors (for just the bow part, not the headband).

It sounds unbelievable, but you get the entire outfit for a mere 325L. It awaits you here!

And what can I say about Indy? I'm in love with Indy. She's definitely in my "favorites" folder.

Phoebe is back! If you'll remember, Phoebe was my first and only "staple" skin when I started this blog. She was the original subject of my obsessive love!

I decided to give another pair of nails a try. Thus, I'm wearing Izzie's Classic Nails! The pack comes with 13 (that's right - THIRTEEN) gloves of 13 different skin tones, which are all modifiable. I'm wearing the ebony glove and modified it so that it matched Phoebe. It doesn't stop there; the pack comes with a HUD that allows for 39 nail color changes for your size 10, 15, or 20 hands!

I purchased these earrings a while ago from the Marketplace. Today, I'm not able to find them on the MP, although there is an inworld store (not listed on the MP but located through my profile stalkery skill: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Nautilus%20-%20Hanno/206/16/23). If you click on either earring, you'll get a menu offering 12 gem color changes and 6 metal color changes. I can't remember what I paid for these, but I don't think they were more than 200L. I'd prefer bigger studs because these are hard to see unless you're zoomed in pretty close, and color changes are not so easily seen because of the small size. However, I suppose, they fit well for the look I had in mind. I love studs, and I think there should be more of them in SL! What say you?

EDIT: Thank hell for Blogger's autosave feature! This laptop has a battery/charger problem. If the charger is disconnected, the laptop is shut down immediately. I happened to move my leg the wrong way. Sigh...

Anyway, wonder1and+kush is a new brand! I can't wait to see more. There's no mainstore (or any store) for the shop yet, but the notecard that comes with this top promises one in the near future!

I'm sure we've established that I am this ubermega skin-whore. So the Skin Showcase event had no chance, and I had no chance against it. Luckily, I only got about ... four skins, methinks. Moana one was one of them.

I've tried essences skins before but was never sold on one until today! I didn't even have to pair the skin with a lipstick because it is so perfect by itself. Essences skins may not be as "textured" as some skins (think freckles and such), but even without that level of texture, the skins are very realistic and pretty. I love the smooth appearance of essences skins. Moana comes in five skin tones. Each tone pack includes two blush layers, two freckle layers, three eyelash layers, and a mole layer - all as tattoo layers. Additionally, you get four styles of pubic hair, each style on a tattoo layer and an underpants layer, for a total of eight pubic hair layers. Each pack costs only 800L!

Oh, and these lipsticks? GET THEM! You get 20 colors, with three teeth options for each! I kid you not, you, thus, get 60 lipsticks for only 199L. What are you waiting for?
