First of all, I'm SO glad and relieved that FLF is back. And the just-past edition was out of this world. I bought nearly all items, and that is rare. I usually buy the MIEL item, no matter what it is - scarf, boots, watch, you name it. And I buy a few other items. But this time, I think I didn't buy only one of the 10 offerings. Is it Friday again yet? 

That said, these Fit Shorts were MIEL's yesterday FLF item. You can change what your butt says (hmmm...). The HUD to do so is super easy to use. If you didn't purchase these yesterday, you can still drop by MIEL to see if the item is still out for 50L. I'm sure it's still 50L because it is still 50L on the MP. You can purchase the bright version or the natural version.

I put "Sear Me" on my butt because one of my favorite songs from my favorite band (not one of my favorite bands, but my favorite band), My Dying Bride, is called Sear Me III. Here! Have a listen!

So THIS version of the Love skin is available at the Collabor88 event for only 88L. The pack contains two skins (light brows and dark brows) and four eyebrow shapers. That's a pretty sweet deal for 88L. Interestingly - and I love this - a similar pack is available at TDR Blue's latest collection. I'm wearing Shindig here, from Collabor88, and the pack available at TDR Blue is called "Electric." Same thing - two skins and four eyebrow shapers. Of course, my skin whoredom necessitated that I buy both "extension packs" of the Love skin. And who am I to fight with the inner skinwhore?

I know that, lately, I have tended to bombard this blog with outfit upon outfit. I can only blame it on being born this way. (I'm on the right track... ) I started drawing fashion "plates" when I was about 14 and, by that age, had wanted to model for years. I've over 100 fashion drawings. Perhaps one of these days, I'll learn how to create stuff in SL and see those drawings become [Second] life!

This was a pretty fun set. And it was even more fun that already pictured due to a certain "extra." I'll discuss this "extra" later.

What rocks about this skin, even more than the skin itself, is that I found it by mistake! I wasn't even on this hunt. I was in The Plastik, shopping. Or I might have been on another hunt, now that I think about. It is so awesome. It comes with 15 skins (different makeups), three tattoo layers of body freckles, three tattoo layers of face freckles, a "darker" lips tattoo layer, a "lighter" lips tattoo layer, a lip stripe tattoo layers, a leg-and-arm fade tattoo layer, a "smudgy [eye] shadow" tattoo layer, six cleavage tattoo layers (doesn't change the amount of cleavage - just the definition of the cleavage), six eyebrow shapers, two sets of eyes - Senn and Winter - as eyes and as prims, and FINALLY, an animation called "Peepybirds." I'm SO glad that I found this!

I'm also wearing one of another set of 60 lipsticks from Shakeup! (see previous entry). Each lipstick includes a "normal" lip, a pouty lip, and a lipstick with teeth version on tattoo layers. 

Gah, I have so much Evie's Closet stuff. Here's one of my favorites! It's hard to pick a favorite because every creation from Evangeline Miles is colorful, full, and the flow of her gowns are always, ALWAYS breathtaking. If you have not purchased anything from Evie's Closet, you must. I can't imagine that you haven't; EC is pretty well know in medieval or fantasy (or both) circles. Because I'm so against-the-trend, it was a while before I visited EC. Whatever is popular, I try to not partake in it so much, not because I think I'm sort of badass, but because I like different things! I like to find things that most people don't know about and attempt to grant some exposure for those things. But, I'm telling you, I was doing myself such a horrible disservice. Everything at EC - even the sim - is a big fat bowl of WIN. 

Finally, you can change the texture on this simple cuff to 14 colors! This was a previous Fifty Linden Friday item which, sadly, is no more.

Also (yes, "finally," means nothing in Infernaworld), if you're wondering about the location, I'm inside of Angelic Creations' The Darkest Forest skydome. I got it for 60L, and let me tell you, it is HUGE and beautiful. The creator, Angelica Leiner, puts up THREE of her items every weekend for the 60L weekend.

You've seen my previous posts, yeah? You must know, then, how absolutely IN LOVE I am with this skin.

I stood in front of the vendor art for this skin, debating dropping 1K for it. I said, "No" then "Yes" at least five times each, but in the end, the skin overtook me, I tell you! 

It comes with two versions of 15 lipsticks, with teeth and without teeth.  These 15 lipsticks are, in turn, divided into five folders. Of course, the whole set is boxed inside of the skin's folder. It's a whole lotta unpacking, but do you SEE the skin? It's well worth the dragging-and-dropping.

I absolutely didn't mean for Inferna's eyes to be closed in one of these shots, but I actually like the way it turned out. Do you?

I bought three other skins with which I am also infatuated. And I've asked two designers - League and The Skinnery - if they'd be so kind as to create the Jen and Sabal skins, respectively, in darker tones. I'd love to have them, but they are a bit light for my tastes.

Also, I'm not sure about Plausible Body. I got these shoes (for really cheap) when I first joined SL, so I'm not even sure if they are still around. I'll check now, actually, to sate my own curiosity.

I fought the mesh trend for so long. I don't despise change, but after I'd read a post on the Phoenix Viewer blog about possible issues, I was very hesitant to try anything mesh. Then, you could always find me highly (and very vocally) resistant to making the change.

But then the promise of NO MORE PRIM SKIRTS persuaded me to think again. I just downright hate prim skirts. Shorts with "fabric" in front of them? Ugh. When my and others' avies move, the legs stretch and warp the texture of the prim. Ew!

After I tried my first mesh item, which was the Yippie hair from Lelutka, the rest was history! I'm a total meshwhore (or meshy whore?) now. I actually prefer mesh over non-mesh items, for the detail and for the simplicity. (Many mesh items, such as dresses, are one piece with no need for multiple clothing layers). 

Don't get me wrong; there are some GREAT non-mesh items, as you've seen. (For instance - and disclaimer; this may be a very premature estimation - I tried Truth's first mesh hair, Janey, and I'm more a fan of their non-mesh hair). But, for the most part, I'm a meshy whore!
