Neurotic

Neurotic. If I had to use one word to describe myself, neurotic would be it. Since it was announced that Collabor88 would add a blogger to its blogger list, which was around the end of September, I have completed photos then dumped them. Completed then dumped. Completed then dumped. My laptop, of course, is not functional. My fiance let me use his laptop (which is actually an old laptop of mine). But the recommended graphic settings for that one were set at "medium," which was indicative of its crappy performance, for photos and otherwise.

Finally, I said, "You know what? You are NEVER going to get this done." I think anyone who creates anything is super critical of his or her own product, but it was getting to be a bit ridiculous. So. Here it is. I will also show you all the other ones I created for the contest.

Same outfit but I'm standing in the Stockholm Attic from Barnesworth Anubis, offered at the July 2012 round of Collabor88! I wanted the space to suggest more apparently that it was living space, so I added LISP suitcases and some effects from Thistle Homes' Love Letters Desk.

In these two photos, I'm still in the Stockholm Attic. And also in both, I'm wearing the Soft hairstyle from [elikatira] (from November 2011 C88) and the Sailor Shorts from -tres blah- (from February 2012 C88). In the first one, I have on The Sea Hole's Davenport Blouse (from October 2012 C88) and the Hampton Necklace from LaGyo (from July 2012 C88). Then, in the second one, I have on a blazer from House of Fox, socks from Kyoot, and I'm carrying Auxiliary's Tiny Tote (all from  September 2012 C88). Finally, I'm wearing a necklace from Maxi Gossamer (from August 2012 C88).

Obviously, I was BENT on staying in my dear Stockholm Attic. But once my fiance bought and installed a graphics card upgrade, I was really enjoying seeing shadows for the first time. It's amazing how much pop that little "lighting and shadows" option grants to a photo!

I also have two other photos, but I didn't edit one of them, and I mistakenly deleted the other from Blogger, so I would need to get back on fiance's computer to get it. I suppose they don't matter anyway; I'm only submitting the very first picture in this blog entry. I was just meaning to show you how indecisive and crazy I am. :P

Sooooo have you heard of Colombia Cosmetics? I've provided the link to Colombia's (the name of the creator and the store) Flickr page. For each vendor art on that page, she's provided a link to the respective marketplace item. There's lipstick, eye makeup, face paint and eyes! You'll not only be a fan of the makeups. You'll also enjoy the titles of the individual colors! For instance, Politana comes in these colors: Astrayed, Confident, Dare, Romana, Tramp and Youth. Another of her lipsticks, Dahlia, includes Jesus Died, Monaster, New Times, No Hair Today, Pyramid, Rapist Suit, Rebuked and Respected Eventually. I love different, quirky and seemingly irrelevant titles because they inspire a need to reconcile the title with the logic behind it. "No Hair Today," a blue, makes me wonder. Why did Colombia think of "No Hair Today" when making this blue or vice versa?

The Bilo dress was sold at the Cupcakes Bake Sale for only 50L in two colors, blueberry and raspberry. But now you can buy it inworld in additional colors, including black, leaf and scarlet! Or you can buy them at Chandra's MP store. (Why did I just look at her MP store? With 11L, I'm just teasing myself). I love that the dress is only partially mesh. Everything is system clothing layers except the mesh flap to make the skirt. I've told friends very often, "death to prim skirts" or "down with prim skirts," because really? Shorts with front flap = skirt? Ugh. But mesh flaps fit and blend in so much better! I doubt that you can tell that Inferna's wearing a flap.

I'm excited! A new brand and new stuffs (from a familiar store) makes me so!

I was on the quest for new makeup, lipstick specifically. I LOVE my Shakeup! lipsticks. They match well with every single skin I have in my favorites folder (All 33 of 'em - although some of those skins include lipsticks already). However, I wanted to try something different! Plus, all of us bloggers aim to bring notice to new brands, not only for that brand but for blog readers and/or fashionistas. 

Thus, I started looking for lipsticks on the Marketplace and I came upon Soiree! It's just a baby - less than one month old - but one can easily tell that Soiree will blow up! The lipstick that I am wearing, La Creme, comes in 30 colors. Each color comes in teeth / no teeth options for 80L; you can see the teeth/no teeth options above. And you can buy the fatpack of 60 lipsticks for 800L. There's also a wonderful "tool" (it's actually a tattoo layer) that does WONDERS for your facial bone structure (that's why I call it a tool) and an upcoming line of SOMETHING which I will not reveal (:P). I love LC's shorter alternative to (or shorter version of) the "fishtail" skirt. The fit is sexy; it fits tightly and adds curves. And it's available in several colors! I couldn't think of any better shoes than LC's Amen Distress Booties. I don't know if I gave this warning in the entry that first references these boots, but I will probably wear them often. They are just my style and go with skirts, jeans, shorts - everything - especially skirts. 

Collabor88 is moving to its own sim! You'll be able to get onto that sim in two days. I'm not sure, but perhaps it will help with lag. Because it's pretty well known that every edition of C88 will rock, it's laggy as soon as word gets out that the newest collection is available. Perhaps the event having its own sim will help with that. WHO KNOWS? I don't want to get you all excited about the possible death of Mr. Lag Monster, but ... 

ANYWAY... finally, I found this clutch at an earlier fi*Fridays edition. And, for only 55L, one got two clutches with poses (one for left hand and one for right hand) and a no-pose version. From what I hear (don't tell anyone, okay?), there will be more of these in various colors. I have a gazillion clutches, but as my friend, Mikaela, reminded me, there is just no such thing as "too many clutches."

I wanted to participate in the Mon Tissu contest; I've more than enough MT items in the ol' inventory. However, I just don't have the resources (aka LINDEN) to accessorize the way I wanted and needed to. BUT! This did not stop me from "securing" these awesome jeans. At first, I thought "you have PLENTY of MT clothes; you need MT accessories." And I only had about 300L at the time. But, in the end, these jeans won me over. Thus, I forfeited the lovely fedora here that I really wanted... and the shoes I wanted... and the boots I wanted. Another time, maybe... But I don't regret getting these jeans; they are SO SO perfect. These are my first mesh jeans, and I ain't lookin' back!

I do wish those who can and will compete the best of luck! 

These jeans have belt loops / no belt loops versions for two cuff fits (flats and heels), so you get a total of four versions in five mesh sizes. The fit is pretty damned awesome. I WISH there were jeans that did for my body what these jeans do for Inferna!

If loving fri.day hair is wrong, I don't wanna be right. Now, I'm downright sure that Darling Monday is a smart girl, but wtf is THIS nonsense? "...unless a miracle happens and I suddenly have talent in that category [hair]?" The poor girl is confused! She's made tons of hair, and all of them are wonderfully made - beautiful, hip, neat and superbly textured. I think I'll shake her inworld and make her realize the error of her ways. Will you help me? Walk up to her - you and me and all of us - and grab her by the shoulders and shake some sense INTO her and more fri.day hair OUT of her. :D The last picture above is a profile view of the hair so you have evidence of her [temporary, I hope] craziness.

I couldn't decide which look I liked best, so I just used both. I had one look and then wanted to blog several other items, so I just split it all into two looks, not entirely separate. 

You can't see the bottle because of the poses I used, but there is one included with this bodysuit. It's animated, no matter the pose. Thus, I had to be very watchful with the snapshot button. Actually, I think I did take a picture in which you can see the picture. Be warned; here comes an unedited Inferna!

Finally, I've got to mention these wonderful earrings. As with all (not some, but ALL) Amorous items, you get lots of control. You can resize the earrings. You can turn on/off full bright. You can change the color of the metal (bronze and light/medium/dark silver). You can change the color of the leather (gray or brown). And you can change the color of the spikes to nine different colors. All these options for an earring? Why, yes. I was a bit appalled when, on a recent trip, I discovered Urchin, an Amorous piece that was NOT sitting pretty in my inventory. I had to rectify that situation, of course.

I've one more VF2012 look that I'm working on (great transition there, yeah?). I'm so intimidated. Do you ever stall because you just know you can't do justice for the items / tasks involved? GET IT TOGETHER, INFERNA!

Oh man. Thank holy hell for Collabor88's birthday! There's a ton (more than usual) of items that you'll probably have to have. Once I could finally get into it, I bought nearly everything. Shame on me! Be sure to check the SeraphimSL gallery for pictures of items.

I saw this hair on my friend, Melusina Parkin (of Melu Deco) and had to know from whence it came. She revealed that it was created by the shop, Sadistic Hacker. It's an odd name, yet I found this hair there. So don't be too discouraged! :P There are three versions of Nagi available for purchase - one is with long bangs (which I'm wearing), one with short bangs and yet another with a portion of clipped back hair. I'd say that if you are into anime, then you'd probably appreciate this shop.

I don't think enough people know about Vaughan's House of Curiosities, a wonderful shop of random must-haves! There's hair, there are clothes, hats and even robots! There's a bit of everything at Vaughan's, AND the owner, Marleen Vaughan is a TOTAL sweetheart. THAT always makes a spendid shop even more so. So get on over dur! My favorite there has GOT to be the quirky, versatile hair.

I don't have a SLurl for :) BCC at the VF2012. However, I do plan to "notecard" vitamingirl to ask if she's got a direct SLurl to her booth at the Fair. Then, as always, I'll update.

Finally, you can find this furniture set - and so much more, at LEAST 40 things - from Melu Deco at the VF2012! It's so sleek and pretty and fitting for what I'm wearing. Well, actually, I wanted to blog this set, so the outfit came together just for the furniture. And I have to be the luckiest SL resident ever! Melusina Parkin, owner of Melu Deco, is another total sweetheart. She has been way nicer to me than I have deserved!

I say those things about designers not to brag but to tell you, once again, that, from my experience, designers in SL are friendly, receptive to suggestions and eager to help you. I have not run into a nasty designer yet, and I send a LOT of NCs and IMs. 

ANYWAY, you've got some shopping to do, yeah? :P
