Meticulous

"Meticulous" is one of my favorite words. And in this entry, I get to show off one of the most meticulous brands in SL, Miel! (Cue preaching...) If you haven't heard of Miel, then shame on you!

I stumbled upon Miel while shopping on the MP. There, I found an item and decided I had to see the in-world store. I went, and it's just been love ever since. Anyway, here is an outfit I composed yesterday featuring some three Miel items.

And here is why Miel is "meticulous":

As you can see, my necklace and my bracelet show specific names. Of course, I didn't buy it this way; both items come with a HUD that allows you to customize 16 spaces. And you may customize with letters, numbers, and characters (including hearts and smiley faces).

The shoes that I am wearing are equally customizable. You may change the color of four elements of the shoe: the actual shoe, the piping, the strap, and the button. And the shoe that you click on is the shoe you are customizing. Thus, you can totally have a "raw umber" right shoe and a "blackberry" left shoe if you wanted. Awesome, no? I forgot to mention, the shoe can be changed to 12 different colors! Talk about options!

Thus, if you like have an insane amount of options, Miel is the way to go!

I'll finish this entry once I have more time. I'm leaving for work!

Ja mata!

Showstopper

I know, I know;  I just made Blogger officially hate me.

What I'm wearing:

Skin: Phoebe2 (LAQ)
Hair: Vappu (Tukinowaguma)
Lipstick: Fire (LpD*
Shirt: Chiffon Shirt, Pink Roses (GizzA)
Pants: Sheens' Leather Gray Pants (*The Gentry)*
Boots: Moshi ankle boots with roses (ALEIDA)
Bracelet: Nevermore (LOULOU&CO)*
Earrings: Superspike (Gems and Kisses)*
Necklace: Pearls and Diamonds, white (*JD*)*

* Guess what the items marked with an asterisk have in common? I paid absolutely nothing for them! I am a member of so many shopping and bargain-hunting groups that ... well, I can make pretty decent outfits without spending so much linden (or is it "so many lindens"? Anyway...)

First, the lipstick. I LOVE this group gift lipstick. I'm pretty sure it's featured in at least 75% of my outfits. If not, that's a shame. LpD (Les Petit Details) is one of my many favorite shops as anything "hipster" or quirky is going to demand my attention. I consider my style to be "hipster," so LpD is one of my many favorite "hipster" shops. They also make great skins.

Second, the pants were part of an outfit called "Anastasia's Eyes" from the Gentry. I didn't pay for this outfit, and it is a great outfit. I wish I could remember where I got it from. If I do remember, I will update this blog entry (but I shop so much and stalk bargains like a crazed woman, so I doubt I'll remember. I'm sorry).

All the jewelry items (necklace, bracelet, and earrings) are hunt items! So what shall we take from this little fact? HUNTS = LOVE. I do as many QUALITY hunts (not just hunts) as I can do. The earrings from G&K (Gems and Kisses) will probably be featured in many, many outfits because they are perhaps my favorite pair of earrings. Well... there is Donna Flora ... which is yet ANOTHER creator worthy of her own entry!

(Sorry. Tangent...)

I included a sort of "outline" view of my hair from the profile angle because the pictures really do no justice to the actual hair style. So, by seeing the "outlines" of the hair, you can see the shape of it and, of course, just how great this hair is. By the way, if you're looking for elegant and/or "haute couture" hair, Tukinowaguma is one of the best places to visit. Ooooh, I sense another creator-specific entry.

Do you see where this is headed? If I even mention a brand name, chances are that I am obsessed enough to want to give it its own entry.

I discovered GizzA in my first MOOLTO Sisters Hunt. (Another "btw": If you have never participated in a MOOLTO hunt, you have been missing out. Out of all the hunts I have completed, MOOLTO is my favorites, hands down). When I got to GizzA during the hunt, I decided to look around because ... I'm just not one of those hunters who get the freebie and run. I actually adhere to the very purposes of hunts (to garner exposure for the participating stores). Anyway, I started looking around and actually purchased five items after I picked up my hunt item.

A demain!

Exorcised

Actually, this outfit shows me as being dressed for the gym, maybe, for exercise. But I'm feeling witty today, so I just called this outfit "Exorcised."

What I'm Wearing:

Skin: Pheobe4 (LAQ)
Hair: Neve (Truth)
Outfit: Winter Explorer Indian Brown (Opium)*

*The bodysuit, the leg warmers and boots, and the arm warmers are all part of Opium's Winter Explorer Indian Brown outfit. I also have this outfit in black because, hey, why not buy such a WONDERFUL outfit in more than one color?

It is very rare to find a complete outfit that doesn't sacrifice quality in the name of quantity or "fullness" of the outfit. So I was pleased to find this particular outfit from Opium. You get a truly complete outfit (not "jewelry included" complete, but "shoes and other accessories included" complete), and every item included is so very wonderful. Opium doesn't put out crap products in the first place, but WOW; for 299L, this outfit is a STEAL.

You can see everything that is included for yourself in this brown version of the outfit. (I apologize in advance for all the women and "gifters" who will be 299L short as a result of the posting of this link):  You'll thank me later! NO, REALLY.

A demain!

(I will always say "A demain" whether or not I actually return tomorrow, but you loooove me anyway!)

Icebreaker

What I'm Wearing:

Skin: Phoebe2 (LAQ)
Hair: Astrid (Truth)
Makeup: Lipstick gift from LpD (Les Petit Details)
Leg Tattoo: "Flowers Again Flowers" Dollarbie
Top: ::LC:: POP Denium Blank Corset [monroe]
Skirt: Accountant Tied Up (Phoenix Rising)*
Earrings: Dalia (Loordes of London)
Necklace: Necklace Spring (**Just You**)**
Shoes: Baby T's - Plain - Hot Pink (Pixel Mode)

* The Accountant Tied-up is an outfit, including a top and a tie. I am wearing only the skirt from the outfit. Also, for your information, and please try not to drown me in kisses for telling you this (:P), but everything at Phoenix Rising is 25L. EVERYTHING. There are also items for men. I participated in the store's closing sale some months ago. I'm sure there's no longer a store, but here's the marketplace link to the storefront.

** I obtained this necklace during the second Mix and Match Hunt. A friend complimented me on the necklace, and I attempted to find the item for her. However, I just couldn't find it! It was then that I realized it was a hunt item and that, perhaps, the item was not generally available. If you participated in that hunt, then you probably have this necklace. If you didn't, well... shame on you!

If you don't know about TRUTH yet, then you've either 1) been living under a large rock OR 2) just created a SL account. Truth makes wonderful hair. I have so much Truth hair, it should be criminal. In fact, I should soon dedicate an entire entry to my Truth hairstyles.

Also, I love the "blank denium corset"I'm wearing. I found it by accident. I was shopping at \Remy/, my new favorite place, and I happened to look across the "street." There, I found this wonderful corset along with maybe two others. I picked this one because, well, it has Marilyn Monroe's face on it! DUH!

A demain!

An Introduction

Hello, fellow obsessive shoppers!

I started playing Second Life at the end of November of 2010. Already, I have close to 29,000 items in my inventory (and, yes, my trash is empty). I try to be as linden-savvy as possible; those 29,000 items are made up of, not only of clothing, accessories, and other things that I have purchased, but also items that I have found during hunts or received for being a member of groups. However, I mostly spend linden to get the items I MUST have. And believe me, there are things I must have.

Thus, I created this blog simply because I love shopping, and I love fashion. I cannot build to save my life, and I really do not do much in Second Life other than shop and mix-and-match to create new outfits. So I'd like to think that, even though I'm not the most talented Second Life player out there, I do have an eye for what looks good and what doesn't.

I am Inferna Resident or sometimes Inferna Marker, as I am partnered with my real-life boyfriend, Doug Marker, whom I met in real life first. He introduced me to Second Life, and, well, the rest is history, yeah?

I look forward to posting some of the 90 or so outfits I have already created since I joined Second Life and the ones to come.
